Rose Marie DuQuette

Since 1993, R-First Bookkeeping has serviced small businesses throughout the San Joaquin County.  While enjoying the challenge of working and assisting business owners with their consulting and bookkeeping needs.

Originally Rose Marie started her own bookkeeping business to supplement her income; after a year and a half she increased her client base and began working full time.  At the time she opened her business, she had worked in the construction industry for over 20 years.  She had a heavy emphasis on bidding projects, construction coordinator as well as working in the accounting department.

She is a Certified Sage 100 Consultant and Advisor, Certified Intuit QuickBooks Advisor.

She is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, National Association of Women in Construction, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Delta Chamber of Commerce (seating on the Board of Directors) and Child Abuse Prevention Council of San Joaquin County.

In 2012 she wanted to expand her level of services; preparing income tax returns and become a Registered Tax Preparer (RTRP) and California Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP). Rose Marie purchased Doug Small’s Tax Practice. This allowed her to use her knowledge and experience working with the IRS representing her clients and the needs of their businesses.  Her future goal is to become an Enrolled Agent (EA).

Serena joined R-First Bookkeeping & Consulting in 1999 with a background in finance and mortgage loans. She previously managed a finance company with consumer lending and a heavy emphasis on collections. Serena originally began as a part time employee while she learned the business.

She loves working closely with small businesses, and providing them bookkeeping services suitable for all industries. Her areas of expertise include payroll, day to day operations and year end preparation.
"No business is too small or too big", she says.

Working for R-First has given her an opportunity to be a hands on mom to her son.
